In a car full of six people, in the middle of Pennsylvania, if it is one thing you take away from this besides the funky music and a group of beautiful people, just beware.

“WE ARE STONE COLD KILLER ASSASSINS working from the Russian Government,” said Booty&theKidd.

Booty&theKidd, the band based out of Columbus, Ohio just finished up their “Florestan” tour in New York at the Rock Wood Music Hall. The group is what some would consider an orchestra, having three unique vocalists and covering all the instruments with horns, keys, and rhythm sections included. Booty&theKidd on their first tour went through Chicago, Michigan, Minneapolis, and Columbus.

“This was our first tour and we are pretty hyped about how it went,” said Tyler Butts, aka Booty.

While in West Virginia going to college, Booty was sending his music back and forth to Nick Reinmann, aka the Kidd, to create an album together. It wasn’t till a year later when Tyler decided to move to Columbus, where Nick was at and create the band Booty&theKidd.

“We made a whole record just Nick, Myself, and a laptop,” said Booty.

Booty&theKidd said they will be playing in their first festival gig outside of Columbus at the “Borderlands” festival in New York, September 21. The group is playing before bands Gov’t Mule, Greensky Blue Grass, and Shakey Graves.

The first Booty&theKidd show came together with help from the organization, Sofar Sounds, otherwise known as Songs From A Room. This international organization is transforming the way we hear music, bringing the fans face to face with the artists for a musical experience like no- other. Sofar Sounds have been linked to some big names in music from Leon Bridges to Bastille.

“You don’t know what you are getting you just sign up and they send you the address a couple of hours before, it was the first thing we ever did as a group,” said Booty. “We released, “You&I” a year and a half later and kept rocking with that.”

“We have a wide variety of taste in the music we listen to on a daily basis and we try to get some flavors from each and everything we listen to,” said Booty.

The group released its album titled, “You&I” in 2018, featuring artists Caamp, Joey Aich, Sarob, and 7h7m. According to Spotify Music, Caamp is another artist from Ohio with over 1, 700, 000 Monthly Listeners. Booty&theKidd featured, Caamp on the “You&I” album in a song titled, “The Vine”.

The band mentioned a new project that they will be recording in May and releasing in June. Also having a new album titled, “Eusebius” that will be released soon. If you want to know how their music is made, to sum it up for everyone out there.
