Stages EP- [O.E.]
The talented DAM member O.E. gifted people with a five track EP titled ‘STAGES’. Effortlessly spitting lines across velvet beats, O.E. shows flashes of his flexibility around music.
‘STAGES’ opens up with a playful sound in ‘Centerpiece’ followed by his comfortable flow. Portraying the relevance of life in his music, while a smooth swing of subtle kicks echo off On Everything.
“Seen the impossible, said imma fix that. Still same nigga wore his socks all mixmatched, sit back, look at. All of the shit that, life tried to pile on. Any way we did that, niggas wanna siphon off of the impact. Feel like an icon, Im writing nice songs, I’m getting big now. Im making big moves. Built from the ground up, see how we improved, I got my sound up.”
In the EP’s second track, ‘Georgia Peaches’, introduces a disparate-like feel to the beat. While not relaying a certain tone that most are accustomed too, the track’s roots show bounds of experimentation in the pen-game of O.E.
“I finally stopped my B.S.’n, grew and they said I’d be less. Now niggas know my name, I used to hardly see rest. I kept so many secrets. I swear it made me see less. But I been eyeing shorty. I call her Georgia Peaches. But I don’t call at all, Im too afraid to fall. Im too afraid of loss. I know you seen a little bit, I’m not afraid of scars.”
